International Applicants
Procedures for Evaluation of International Social Work Credentials
The Canadian Association of Social Workers facilitates the assessment/evaluation process of international qualifications for the Prince Edward Island Social Work Registration Board to determine equivalency to a minimum of a Bachelor of Social Work obtained from a Social Work program accredited by the Canadian Association of Social Work Education (CASWE).
The Canadian Association of Social Workers does not assess degrees obtained through distance education or self-study/correspondence course work. Where a discrepancy exists, the requirements outlined in the Canadian Association of Social Workers (CASW) shall prevail.
(Evidence of written and spoken facility in the English or French language may be required in order to practice in Canada.)
